We have been lucky from the very beginning to have been supported by our charity shops. We now run seven shops which are hugely valuable on several levels.

Not only do they provide a regular source of funds which can then be used where they are most needed, but almost more importantly, they offer a local focus of support for the Mary's Meals.


Current wanted goods list
• Textiles and shoes in clean good condition

• Bags, jewelery and accessories in saleable condition.

• Books in good condition.

• CDs, records, DVDs

• Bric-a-brac in good condition (ornaments, china, kitchenware, pictures)

• Household (curtains, small rugs, bed linen) in good condition.

We are no longer able to take furniture due to the large overheads involved.

A plea from the shops
We could not survive without your kind donations, but please don’t give us anything that’s broken, dirty or that you can’t imagine one of your friends buying from a charity shop.

We have to throw out a large amount of donated items weekly which only adds to our overheads and reduces the amount of money we can spend on our projects abroad.

Volunteer in our shops
The shops rely on teams of very hard-working and dedicated volunteers who are in themselves often the best spokes people for the work of Mary's Meals.
