We are currently collecting out of date or outgrown football strips to send to Liberia. These are distributed amongst the young people there who are part of the many football teams that compete in local leagues. For these young people, who have lived through the twenty years of the civil war (which ended in 2005) and who have lost much of their childhood, it is a chance to integrate and to enjoy themselves, to try and move on from the horrors that many lived through during the troubles.
Team games like football is an important way of rebuilding communities, which itself is vital to development. Please call 0800 698 1212 for more information
If you are collecting football strips for us, you might also be interested in supporting the Backpack Project, another great way to donate in a cost free way, and help children get an education.
