It was Morag Insley who, in conversation with Geoff Edge at the Mary’s Meals conference, suggested that Mary’s Meals should have a stand at the Soroptimist Annual Conference in Cardiff last September. Morag had been the founding Vice President of the Club in Newport some 43 years ago but had now returned to her native Scotland.
Working through the Newport Club an invitation to have a stand at the conference was arranged and this has led to a number of invitations to speak at clubs throughout Wales.
It was therefore excellent that the Newport Club members were able to hear about the work of Mary’s Meals at a talk given by Geoff Edge at the Hilton Hotel in Newport.
