RECENT FUNDRAISING EVENTS
26th May 2010 – Fred Evans did a presentation to Rhyl Inner Wheel and collected an impressive 90 back packs!
January 2010 – Corpus Christi RC High School Cardiff
Jane and David Stone arranged a non-uniform day for pupils at the school and raised £1700 in just one day!
December 2009 – University of Newport
Emma Andrews, University of Newport Fundraiser and her newly formed fundraising group held a cake stand and raised £107. What a great start!
27th November 2009 – Caerphilly Ladies Choir
An Evening of Music with Caerphilly Ladies Choir raised a total of £1711 which includes a donation from Caerphilly Sunshine Club. A fantastic effort by all.
2009 – St Hilda’s Church Griffithstown, Pontypool
Nick Barton gave a talk and subsequently received 15 backpacks and 2 sacks full of pens and pencils.
2009 – Magor Baptist Church
Nick Barton talked about Marys Meals and received a donation of 45 Backpacks!
2009 – Newport Uskmouth Rotary
Volunteer Margaret Oelmann received a cheque for £200 in memory of one of their members who passed away in 2009. He was moved by the work of Marys Meals.
July 17th – Cwmbran United Reformed Church
Held a Garden party and raised £180 for Marys Meals!
May 2006 – Brynglas Education Community Centre
Members of Goff Morgan’s, class at Brynglas Education Community Centre have been busy raising money for Mary’s Meals and recently handed over the proceeds to Rosemary Butler AM at the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff Bay…
