We are a global movement focused on one goal – that every child receives a nutritious daily meal in a place of education. As a movement named after Mary the mother of Jesus and shaped by Christian values, our movement consists of people from all walks of life who offer their goods, skills, time, or prayer in support of our mission. MMI is an inclusive and diverse charity looking to recruit talented individuals of all faiths and none to support our mission.

The foundations and origins Mary’s Meals are rooted in the Catholic faith, and we are proud of the role that faith plays in Mary’s Meals today, but you don’t need to be a person of faith to work with us. Many people across the Mary’s Meals movement are motivated by their faith to join us, others have different motivations, but we are all united in our desire to play our own small part in reaching some of the world’s poorest children.

We have confidence in the innate goodness of people, and we believe that everyone is capable of contributing to our mission whatever their backgrounds or beliefs. We ask all representatives of MMI to be respectful of each other and to recognise the unique contribution we are all making to this important work.

Stewardship is a key value that underpins all of our work, and we also seek to minimise the environmental impact of our work, so we ensure all travel is absolutely necessary. We are a remote first organisation and where travel is necessary and a key part of your role, you may have the opportunity to visit one or more of our programmes. Travel requirements will be referenced in the job description but please feel free to reach out with any questions at

Our workforce is very diverse and people join Mary’s Meals International from many different sectors. There may be some roles that require specific non-profit experience, however the majority of our roles are open to everyone from a variety of sectors.

MMI is committed to being a truly global, remote first organisation and there is no mandatory requirement for employees to work in a Mary’s Meals office for day-to-day working. MMI will provide you with the equipment you need to work remotely. We have an office in Glasgow, that is open three days per week, for those who would like to use it on an occasional or regular basis.

MMI can currently employ candidates who are based in and have the right to live and work in the following countries: UK, Malawi, Kenya, Liberia, Zambia, Spain, Italy and Canada. You’ll need to have the legal right to work in one of the above countries. For certain roles, we’re able to recruit from other countries too. This will usually be for very senior or specialist roles. This will be made clear on the advert if this is the case.

Please direct any initial questions to or call Leanne Gordon, Head of Recruitment on +44 141 648 7795.

Our roles are usually advertised for two weeks and where possible, we will review applications on an ongoing basis during this time.
