Parishioners at St. Henry’s Roman Catholic Parish in Melville, Canada, raise $4,082 for Mary’s Meals
Published onThe first Sunday of February has its own special tradition at St Henry’s Roman Catholic Parish in Melville, Canada.
Since 2017, parishioners have gathered on the same day every year to support of Mary’s Meals, and this year was no different.
The Social Justice Committee brought the community together on 2 February for a plate of soup and a sandwich after the Mass. Those who attended learned about our work and heard stories of some of the children who receive Mary’s Meals at their place of education.
A total of $4,082 was raised for Mary’s Meals generated by donations from the lunch and the sale of copies of Magnus’ book, The Shed That Fed 2 Million Children.
